This hotel is well situated near Florida road where there are many restaurants.
The rooms are very stylish with four poster beds and even outside showers and spa baths. There is also a proper place to work for business people.
The breakfast makes a pleasant change from the normal buffet.
The hotel also has good conference facilites
We arrived late after a long journey. Especially the reception was warm and very welcoming.
After checking in we had a good and freshly cooked meal. Slept great. The sun was out the next day and we had breakfast in the garden. The composition of the breakfast was a little weird. Home made cookies and stuff. I have enjoyed the...
WIth most tourists and business people prefering to stay in home away from home type accommodation, Five Burnham is just that. Look on their lovely web site to see the beautifully decorated rooms and wonderful entertainment area.
--- - worth a night at next time you are in Durbs..
I recently stayed at the Benjamin Hotel while on business in Durban. The highlight of the hotel was the customer service. Everyone was extremely friendly and the hotel staff went out of their way to make your stay comfortable. They have free wifi, a small bottle of wine was waiting for me in my room, and they have an open...
Perhaps it's because I've become accustomed to great service from the hotel but I was disappointed this time. I ordered a coffee on the lobby coffee shop and after waiting for 45 minutes no one remembered taking my order. The concierge promised to send my order to the room but this never happened. The waiters at breakfast were irritable and...
An exceellent guest house in the heart of Durban with good facilities. My room was very comfortable and the public areas were very clean and comfortable.
It was recommended to me and I am glad I took up the recommendation - I will certainly consider revisiting it the next time I visit Durban.
We stayed in the guesthouse on two occasions whilst in South Africa. The room was amazing, a brilliant size with everything we needed. The bathroom almost took our breath away, it's a great size, with double sinks, bath and shower.
The hosts at the guesthouse were extremely attentive, making sure that we had everything we needed and gave us lots...
I just spent four days at the Durban Elephant. It was the perfect spot as a home base while I worked in Durban for a week. It was comfortable, low key and personal. I had a large room with a large bathroom and a terrace with a view of the City and ocean. The bed was one of the most...
I spent 4 nights in May at Essenwood as I was in Durban for an exam. I have stayed there before and chose it as it was comfortable & centrally located. I had a big (actually massive) room with all one could ask for, including a desk for the last bit of studying. The breakfast was hearty with a fresh,...
My family stayed at Mortonson Manor for 6 nights whilst in Durban in May 2012. Carrie, Luke and their staff were flawless with the service provided. The accommodation within the Manor is stunning, each of the rooms is beautifully styled and you can't help but relax as soon as you arrive. The gardens and pool area are stunning and well...
What an Amazing place, Good rooms, Good showers Comfy beds. and owned by the nicest couple Would recommend it to anyone
We stayed here for two nights while in Durban and I must say this BB is one of the few remaining BBs in Durban with charm and the owner running it Jovana is extra ordinarily nice. You feel very confortable and wouldnt want to leave. The Beach is 10minutes walk and we could order for meals to be delivered at this...
rooms are very comfortable. good location as it is within easy reach of the icc.
free secure parking.
The hotel sounded great and the web pictures looked amazing! In reality, this hotel/apartment was absolutedly filthy dirty! After speaking to the manageress, the room was cleaned but unfortunately this didnt include the windows which i could hardly see out of,or the many cobwebs! The restaurant served delicious food but the waiters are completedly untrained.....one didnt even know what calamari was- i...
