The Corner House was a beautiful house, with very nice owners. Greatly positioned with just a few minutes walk from the main street.
The rooms were pleasant and could be even better with just a few tweaks from the owners to make them warmer in winter e.g. hot water bottles, electric blankets. The common area was also very cold and...
After traveling for 27 hours to get to South Africa from Los Angeles, we were met at the airport by David, one-half of the friendly management team -- along with his wife, Jenny -- of Le Ballon Rouge. David and Jenny made us feel instantly at home, offering tips for local restaurants and attractions. David later gave us a personal...
My family stayed recently at the Mont Rochelle in Franschhoek and were totally disappointed. The rooms and location were fine but the cleanliness and customer service left a great deal to be desired. There were a few heavy cast iron beds round the pool with even less mattresses. The staff told us that the guests take the mattresses to their...
Planned to spend 3 nights and eventually added a 4th. Great spot. Good beds. Very clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was great (very good croissants!), good coffee too!

Bedrooms are a decent size with two 3' beds and a large bathroom with shower and bath. Breakfasts were excellent with a good choice of fruit, juices, cereals, breads and...

Maybe I'm just a bit picky but I thought the atmosphere was a bit stiff...
The rooms still good but food was terrible. Dry overcooked Chicken, very poor. Lovely grey diningroon chairs badly stained Tried to order room service, an hour later they said too busy and could not do room service.
We spent two nights at The Garden House and had a great time in Franschhoek. Annette and Barry were very welcoming and Annette was a great source of advice on the local wineries and restaurants. Her recommendations were spot on and just what we were looking for, so thamks very much!
The accommodation itself was faultless and was a very...
