I was staying at the Lodge from the 15 December 2011 to 15 January 2012. I must say it was one of my best stays in the south of Johannesburg. The staff are very friendly and all ways there to help you if you need it. The owner of the place was great, if you needed something or need to...
We stayed for almost three weeks while looking for a house to rent for the coming two years which we would live in this exciting city. What a great luck we had to stay with Pam and Wiggie! They helped us so fabulously with the many little and larger questions you have in a place you are new. Always helpful,...
The Smuts 93 is a perfect hideaway in Joburg. Great setting with extremely well designed suites. Character arts and crafts type house from the twenties in a wonderful garden. This is a perfect home from home when you are on business or vaccation in Joburg.
Riverbend country house is located in a quiet area of fourways Guateng province, south africa. the service is excellent, staff is friendly and courteous. The good thing about this place is you can get a hearty breakfast and dinner without the concerns of going out at night to find a restaurant. Close to great shopping at Fourways and also Monte...
My expectations were exceeded. We had a difficult time in our lives and a loved one was in hospital. The tranquility of the gardens were so pleasant to return to in the evenings. Understated service and quiet efficiency were the order of the day.
We stayed there for a couple of days from 15/10/11 - 16/10/11. Sue was a perfect host and the staff are all very friendly and always very helpful. The rooms were very clean. Thank you Sue and all the staff for a wonderful couple of days at Melrose
We stayed here for two nights in April during our tour and were very pleased.
Checking in was easy and do not be alarmed at the noise from the casino as we were because once you are in your room you cannot hear anything at all.
The room was clean ,and had everything that you would need and a great...
How I came to finding out about this sweet little place in a discreet corner of Johannesburg was through an Internet search for a boutique hotel.
The service from the minute I started engaging with the management was fantastic. They were accommodating and did not flinch every time - and it was a number of times mind you - I...
Hotel is well placed in Rosebank with direct access to the train and the shopping area. Unfortunately, I had a very noisy room and neighbor. The front desk was very slow to resolve the issue of my second night noise experience.
Also, the business center couldn't offer any printing services for two days (Sun/Mon) due to a faulty printer. Finally,...
The warm welcome we received was exceptional, The rooms were very clean, top class with their white and earthy colours bedding. Their furniture, the theme and everything was just amazing. Most of all "the breakfast" was scrumptious choosing from "the chalkboab" something different and out of norm.
I would go on the whole day with this review mentioning how superb...
Fay is a great host and most accomodating. The rooms create a very homely feel and are very comfortable.
I initially stayed in Randburg Inn, but decided to move across to the adjacent Randburg Towers. I would not recommend staying in Randburg Inn - the rooms were stuffy with old carpets. The service is equally bad. There is a restaurant and small bar downstairs, which serves both Inn and Towers. Both are OK. When I moved over to Towers,...
I went to Jozi with my 2 kids and was looking for a family room. While the room was spacious, there was only 2 beds and supposedly a sofa bed. Fortunately we only used the room to crash at night. The soft furnishing needs to be replaced, it's quite faded and outdated. I can't say it was bad, but can't...
Upon arriving at this castle-like accommodation in Johannesburg, we were shown our room and the breakfast room and then left on our own to explore the hotel. We discovered a pool, caged exotic birds, a balcony/smoking room and that our hotel was attached to a private residence. Needless to say, it would have been much more welcoming to have had...
