This is an excellent hotel. If you look at my prior reviews, you will find that I seldom give any hotel a 4 or 5. However, this hotel (based on the standards that I have seen and experienced in Kenya) deserves a 4 1/2. The following is a brief summary of the quality of this hotel.

I was sad to arrive in my room and see the age and quality of the furnishings and bathroom. I'd rate it a normal 2 star room. The bed was comfortable and the food in the buffet was good enough...nothing to write home about.
The staff were friendly and helpful as you can expect. Security for the hotel was good....
Stayed here on business a couple of weeks ago and will not bother again.
The room was incredibly dated, awful dark blue carpets and dark, mis-matched furniture. The bathroom was in a poor state of repair, with plaster hanging off and bits chipped out of the tiles and the floor. The shower was half falling off barely a trickle came...
Our stay in Mid-May 2012 was a memorable one for all the wrong reasons. We videod it to proove how bad it was (You Tube). so judge for yourself.
If you get the wrong room, using the wrong agents may have been the problem as well, it might be noisy - Industrial Fan on roof next to room 322.
