The Boma Nairobi Hotel
Nairobi, Kenya

A modern-enough, soulless establishment typical of tens of thousands of 4 star establishments in business capitals worldwide, with functional service, well-appointed rooms, and few visible standards of wear and tear. Four complaints, however: (1) The area surrounding the hotel is a moribund of all activity once the sun goes down (and also devoid of views of the city, despite its...

Miti Mingi Guest House
Nairobi, Kenya

I have no hesitation in recommending Miti Mingi for those who wish to chill from the noise and bustle of Nairobi. Mary prepares a delicious breakfast and the lounge area is ideal for relaxing and planning for the next day. Sit outside in the early afternoon and you can spot numerous exotiic birds within Miti Mingi (many trees). Do not...

Our one night stay at Palacina was a brief one due to the length of time it had taken us to get through immigration on our arrival at Jomo Kenyatta airport. However, despite arriving at midnight there were staff who welcomed us with a smile and helped us to our suite. The suite was spacious with separate sitting area, bedroom,...

the hotel faces the slums of Nairobi. Staff is extremely nice but rooms are infested with mosquito and no fan or air conditioner. Gets very stuffy. Our room was extremely small and not good value for money. The good thing was we were very close to Nairobi park.

LAICO Regency Hotel
Nairobi, Kenya

Had a group of mine stay there but was not worth the price! Entire staff have ego problem! Hotel aint at all a 5 star! Can probably pass for a 3 star hotel. One rather stay at the 680 Hotel! Air conditions have not been working for the past 4 years! lol! That's strange and the GM always says its...

Eka Hotel Nairobi
Nairobi, Kenya

I have been to most of the city hotels in Nairobi and there is something unique about the new Eka Hotel that cannot go unmentioned - the genuine hospitality. It is the only hotel where you are flattered by the warmth of hospitable staff regardless of their rank or chores. As most of the hotels tend to reserve smiles and...

What terrible run down 60's leftover !! From the less than effusive front office male clerks through to the rock solid pillows this place is a shocker . Plus points though are the majority of the F&B staff and the room attendants . The rooms , hot and airless , are so well maintained , and when I ran hotels...

Hotel Embassy
Nairobi, Kenya

The Hotel Embassy is a good hotel for a budget traveler. It is extremely inexpensive, and the rooms are clean, albeit a bit worn looking. The first night we arrived we discovered the toilet would not flush properly, but on reporting it to the front desk it was repaired immediately. The restaurant in the hotel, like the hotel itself, looks...

Progressive Park Hotel
Nairobi, Kenya

Stayed here for one night as a group of us having a night out in Nairobi. The rooms are more small apartment style with a small kitchen area. Location is good with a Nakumart supermarket opposite & shopping malls all nearby. Taxis are available always right outside. All in all a good value clean place to stay.

Sentrim 680 Hotel
Nairobi, Kenya

I was at the 680 hotel late 2011 and the rooms were out-dated, the staff wasn't very friendly and spoke English that wasn't very easy to comprehend. I wanted to talk to the manager but when I did see someone I was told was the proprieter he seemed to be flirting with one of the girls. Definitely under new mis/management...
